Ideal Candidates
Knowledge in programming, designing or assembling instrumentation, electronics, or mechanical systems
Can work independently or in a group
Work with client ideas to provide a safe and reliable outcome
Pursuing a degree in Engineering or related field (all years welcome)
Willingness to teach your fellow lab members the knowledge and skills you learned
Perferred Skills
Ideal candidate has at least three (3) of these skills
Soldering
Basic AC/DC knowledge
Programming in C, C++, Java, HTML, or PYTHON
Basic knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers
Ability to read electrical schematics/diagrams and/or mechanical drawings
Experience using hand tools (i.e. screwdriver) and power tools (i.e. drill)
Experience operating machine tools to produce a component
Basic knowledge of prototyping methods
Intermediate knowledge of 3D modeling
Experience using 3D printers
Intermediate knowledge of website and app design
Additional Information
Students work a maximum of 20 hours a week
This is a paid student worker position
